A darling vintage Three Little Kittens Tins made for Cote D'or Chocolates by The Metal Box Co. (Mansfield, England - B WM Branch) sometime around 1940s. This nursery rhyme tin has a hinged lid and is brightly decorated on all sides (except bottom) with scenes from The Little Golden Book's nursery rhyme story. It credits Little Golden Book on the side of the tin.
The tin has yellowed from age and we see spots of oxidation peaking through but it is still very charming. The inside is clean and it has no dings or dents. This would be a wonderful piece for a child's room, daycare, elementary school teacher or your vintage whimsical decor. The tin measures 5 3/8" X 4 1/8" and stands 2 1/8" with the lid closed. The lid is hinged and this makes for a nice box to store small treasures.
