A set of 8 English Staffordshire pottery plates by Johnson Bros. You will receive 8 plates total - 7 are bread or dessert plates and 1 is a salad plate. Beautiful pattern named Fruit Sampler or Old Granite which came in two versions. This is the older version with the inside and outside pattern. This would make a great display for your farmhouse or country kitchen. The colors of the fruit are vivid yet these have a slightly rustic feel. Very appealing for those that like country living. The 7 dessert or bread and butter plates measure 6 3/8" across. The salad plate measures 8 1/8" across. They are in Good vintage condition with no chips, cracks or flakes. The colors are bright and clean. Crazing is present but extremely faint (not discolored veins). We like this set as a dessert set. The salad plate is the perfect size to put out some cookies or treats and the bread and butter/dessert plates are great to serve the dessert on. Really nice set that would go great with the matching coffee service in our shop.
