Vintage South American Organic Slab Hardwood Coffee Table Furio Guerci Coastal Decor, MCM, Lodge Decor, Camp Decor, Natural Decor
1960s Organic Slab Hardwood Table by Furio Guerci of Sabaneta Barinas, Venezuela. This handsome table will be the center of attention in whatever room you choose to use it in. If you think the photos are nice you need to see this in person. It is really a phenomenal hand-crafted piece.
This table has an incredible 3" thick slab solid hardwood top and thick tripod branch legs. If I had a place for it, I would be keeping here. I have had it for a few years hoping to find a place for it but we have no room. I am uncertain of the type of hardwood but what I learned is that it has to be reclaimed and fallen from the rain forest before it can be legally crafted and sold. So at the time this designer had to go through quite a bit to put his stamp on it.
This handsome table will not disappoint, and I can see it fitting in with many decorative settings including Coastal, Nautical and Beach themes, natural decors such as Boho, Lodge and Camp styles. I also can see this mixed in with Danish and Mid Century Modern.
The table stands 17 1/4" tall and measures 45 1/4" across the top. I took a photo of my hand grabbing the top so you can visualize how thick the slab is. The condition is Very Good+. Anything you see on the wood is natural ie; stress cracks and does not affect the stability of the table. Really nice for a 50–60-year-old piece of hand-crafted furniture.
