Vintage Mission Style Spiral Andirons with Matching Tools c1940s
A great looking fireplace set in wrought iron with matching spiral andirons and tools. This 1940s Mission Style (or Arts and Crafts style) set is quality American made and in very good one owner estate condition. See all photos for close up showing minimal wear to this vintage set.
All pieces have a decent black finish. There is mild oxidation at the feet of the andirons and edges of some of the tools. There is no rot. This will clean up with some fine steel wool. You can repaint them if you choose to do so. I personally like them exactly as they are, they show their age appropriately and you know by looking them that they are not a new repro but that these have a history. The matching spiral tops on this set gives it a Roycroft look.
The andirons stand 23" tall and measure 11 1/2" across the feet. They have a 19" depth.
The tool holder is footed and stands 30" tall. The bottom tray measures 10 1/2" X 7 1/2". All of the tools measure 28" long (tongs, shovel, poker) with the exception of the spade which is 33" long. All tools are in good working order.
