Here we have a great looking Vintage German Mercury Glass Owl Christmas Ornament. He is teal in color and presents beautifully for an ornament well over 50 years old. This vintage Christmas Ornament is part of a large collection we will be offering in between our regular listings over the next few weeks. Our little owl friend stands 3 3/4" tall to the top of the ornament hanger. He measures 1 5/8" wide across his body and has a 1 1/4" depth (profile). Most of his green finish is present and his red nose and talons are bright. We see paint loss of yellow around the eyes and possibly other colors we can not be certain. What we do know is that it is in Good condition. Other than a chip at the top under that cap (which happens more often than not) on these older ornaments the body is free of any chips, cracks or other damage. The cap is a replacement but works just fine and hides the top chip.
