This gorgeous Bohemian Amethyst Glass Decanter with Silver Overlay is a stunning piece for use or display. The plum colored Art Glass is heavily trimmed in Silver (almost a Platinum color) overlay with scrolling vines and thick borders. We took photos in natural light for you to see how just lovely this piece is.
This vintage, almost antique decanter, is c1930s and in Good+ Condition. The decanter base has no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs. We see virtually no wear to the metallic silver trim and floral scroll design. The ground stopper has 1 flake (see our photos). This will not be noticeable even upon use. We found it by touch and had a hard time getting it to show up in a photo but it is there and we mention everything we see for accuracy. There is wear to some of the silver trim bands on the stopper. A silver metallic paint pen could easily remedy this. I give it an 8 out of 10 for overall condition.
The decanter stands 9" to the top of the stopper and 7 1/4" to the top of the decanter. The decanter will comfortably hold 18 oz or 2 1/4 cups of your favorite dessert wine or cordials.
