A gorgeous authentic brooch and pendant combo in 14k yellow gold with natural branch coral. This antique Love Knot was a popular Victorian Era style and we are dating to 1870-1880.
The brooch measures 1 inch long by 3/4 inch in height. The brooch holds a beautiful piece of coral which measures just shy of an 1 inch in length. The brooch pin extends longer than the setting, it has an early hinge and "C" catch closure. There is also a small bale at the top of the brooch so this can also be worn on a chain. If the bale is too small a jump ring can easily be added to accommodate a larger chain.
The brooch is marked 14k on the "C" Catch. The stamp is cut off but still readable under magnification. We have also safely tested this piece and it is guaranteed to be at least 14k gold. Total weight of piece including coral is 5 grams.
This would be a lovely piece for the bride or an anniversary. Also a wonderful piece for the Victorian jewelry collector.
