A beautiful vintage Sterling Silver Carving Set by Towle. This 3 piece meat carving set is referred to only by pattern number TWS 350. It has a beaded edge and florals and it will nicely accompany many of Towle's Silver Patterns. It can also be used with any of your sterling silver flatware. This is the largest size set that was offered in this pattern. The condition is Very Good with minimal wear. It has a brightly polished finish and there is minimal patina.
Each handle is marked "Sterling Handle" (see photos). The handles are hollow and the blades are stainless steel. This set also has guards on each piece. This is a gorgeous set for your Holiday or family gatherings.
The measurements on the pieces are as follows:
- Handle to Guard on each piece is 4 1/2"
- Knife - 13" End to End (stainless steel blade measures 7 3/4"L)
- Fork - 10 1/2" End to End
- Sharpener - 13" End to End
I am uncertain if the box is original there is no lid or markings but the navy blue plush lining insert appears to be original and the box holds the pieces perfectly. The box will slide right into a drawer as is. The silver is bright and clean with minimal patina.
This would make a wonderful housewarming or wedding gift.
