A great piece of Calico Blue Chintz by Royal Crownford (JH Weatherby, England). This Staffordshire ironstone teacup or coffee cup and saucer have a lovely blue and white floral chintz pattern that produce by a few English Potters. Most of these pieces are interchangeable with the only difference being the age and backstamp on the back. This is an older vintage piece. Perfect for your blue and white, French Country decor or teacup collection.
We love the blue and white chintz pattern and this cup and saucer is done in the "flat cup" style with "coupe" saucer. The teacup measures 3 1/2" across the cup and the cup alone stands 2 5/8" tall. The coupe saucer measures 5 5/8" and it is nice deep saucer standing about 7/8" tall to the rim. The cup will hold 8-10 oz depending on full you want to go with it.
The Condition is Good+ with no chips, cracks or flakes to either the cup or saucer. On the saucer we see crazing to back white with NO DISCOLORATION. On the cup we saw crazing with no discoloration until we put water in it and then we saw mild discoloration.
