95 year old (dated 1927) Oil on Canvas Painting in the Old Masters style of Johan Rohde. This painting is a replica of his Port of Randers (Randers Havn) in Denmark. It is in its original wood frame that was painted at some point in time. We only have the artists initials of ER and we know this was brought over from Denmark in the 1940s from the local estate it was acquired from.
The frame measures 25 1/2" long by 21 5/8" wide with a 2" depth. The wood frame is original and was painted a dark brown at some point in time a while ago. They did do a nice rubbing on the paint so the gold on the original frame shows through just a bit. If you are not a fan of the frame color you can easily change it. The painting itself measures 21" X 17".
We see no rips or tears. We note discoloration as one would expect from a canvas that is nearly 100 years old. We took close up photos for you to see the condition from every angle.
