A beautiful light blue color on this Art Glass Mid Century Modern Ashtray designed by Gunnar Nyland for Strombergshyttan Sweden. This Scandinavian Art Glass Ashtray has a highly polished finish all the way around. We apologize that our photos are not better. We took more than 50 but the surface of the glass is so glossy it made focusing very difficult. On the photos with the white background you will see wrinkles or sheet behind the glass from the surface the glass was on. We describe condition below.
This piece is signed Strombergshyttan on the base and numbered H102.
The ashtray measures 6 1/4" long by 4 1/2" wide and stands 2" tall. This piece is in Good Condition with a minor rim flake about 1mm in size. This is difficult to see without magnification but it can be felt. We note scratches on the base from being set down. and minimal surface scratches to body. I see one small area. I give this a 7.5 out of 10 for condition. A fine piece to display.
This Scandinavian Art Glass Ashtray will go well with your MCM, Danish Modern, Transitional and Contemporary Decors. We have a mix of decors on our end table and we used it for a color display of light blue and it looks fantastic.
