Vintage watercolor painting "Little Cowboy" by Lloyd Mark "Pete" Bucher. Bucher was the famed Navy Commander of the USS Pueblo that was captured with his crew by the North Koreans in 1968 for 11 months. He survived his capture and wrote a book and did a few painting that we have seen floating around the art world.
This painting is in it's original matte board. It is not framed. The watercolor painting measures 14" X 11" and the matte measures 18 1/2" X 16". The matte board is faded in spots and has discoloration. The watercolor is a wonderful content with a little boy holding aa man's hand. Could be a father and son or a grandfather and grandson. It is signed in watercolor and then again in a gold marker or pen. We note two water spots at the top of the painting one to the left of the cowboy hat and one near the sleeve of man's shirt. Otherwise remarkable. This is worthy of a rematte and framing. Beautiful content and well done.
