A stunning limited edition Villeroy and Bach Jasperware Mother's Plaque from 1979. Only 10000 of these were made and this one is numbered 01363. It is in Very Good one owner estate condition with no chips, cracks or flakes seen and no discoloration. There is no hanger on the back. This would beautiful framed or on an easel.
The jasperware piece measures 8" by 6 1/2" with about a 1/4" depth. The front reads Muttertag 1979. The back has several marking that we photographed in detail. This limited edition is number 1363 out of only 10000 pieces. This is marked on the back along with Made in Germany along with the Villeroy and Bach and Mettlach marks.
This will go with several different decorative styles including Victorian, French Country, Nouveau and Transitional. We have another of these in our shop and together they would make an incredible grouping.
