This might be one of the most beautiful vintage Art Pottery mugs and patterns of Indian Tree that I have seen. This 1930s Indian Tree pattern was done by HJ Wood of Staffordshire England. It is in pristine condition for its 90 years and whether you choose to use it or display it you will not be disappointed it is absolutely stunning.
This large mug is called the "Grandmug" in this dinnerware collection and it will hold 20 oz of your favorite beverage. The mug has intricately raised designs of the Indian Tree and colorful florals. The colors in our photos are true and this mug is in Very Good+ near Excellent condition with no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs. There is no crazing. The only thing to note is discoloration around the bottom ring where the mug was set down. This is normal wear for a nearly antique piece, and we mention for accuracy. Otherwise, this is cleaner than most pieces of this age.
The mug stands 5 1/8" tall with a 3 1/2" opening at the top. Whether you are collecting pieces of this lovely set, or just fell in love with this gorgeous mug, it will not disappoint.
