Incredible detail on this contemporary vintage Art Nouveau Style Nude Nymph pewter cast statue with marble base. This gorgeous pewter nude nymph figure stands 17" tall and has a bright glossy finish on the pewter. We normally like patina on our metals but this is one of those rare exceptions where the brightly polished and sealed pewter looks incredible. This piece should not tarnish or show patina for a very long time. She has lasted at least 40 years with no tarnishing and she looks like the day she was purchased. We consider this piece in Excellent vintage condition. The base measures 8" across and we believe there was felt on the base at one time which has since been removed. You can add a piece of felt or felt squares to base easily. The base appears to black marble which is polished and lacquered on the top and unfinished on the bottom.
The detail on this sculpture is incredible. We thought we saw a few possible places that were makers marks but with all the detail work on the meta,l we could not be sure. With that said, we are calling this piece unsigned. We do believe that this statue and the other we are offering in our shop are from the same artist. This piece is solid and heavy weighing over 11 lbs unboxed.
