This lovely and hard to find Sugar Bowl with Lid (NO NOTCH) is from the Dansk Flora collection in the Bayberry Blue pattern. This pattern ran from 1986-1998. There were sugar bowls made with lids with and without notches in the tops and some were made in Japan and some in Portugal.
I was only able to pick up a few pieces and I knew this sugar bowl with the "unnotched lid" was on the "hard to find list". Whether you have pieces of this set or not, this pattern will be lovely for any blue and white collection. We have the LARGE OVAL SERVING PLATTER in our shop now too.
This sugar bowl with lid was crafted in Portugal (not Japan) and is Microwave safe. It is in Very Good++ Condition with no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs. We see no crazing or discoloration and the pattern is bright and clean.
This Bayberry sugar bowl is listed as a 4" piece although the actual measurements are as follows. Height to rim of bowl 3 3/4", height to top of lid 4 3/4", 3" wide across the rim.
