One our favorite Vintage Lamps in Porcelain and Brass by Capodimonte Italy. This vintage table lamp has wonderful hand painted relief of mermaids, mermen, cherubs, putti, sea creatures and is heavily trimmed in metallic gold (gilt). The piece has many shades of green and teal and wonderful colors of yellow, coral, fuchsia and brown. The shade is NOT INCLUDED we pulled it from one our other pieces. We wanted to show you that you can add this not only to your vintage decors such as Hollywood Rgency but also to your more contemporary transitional and Coastal Decors.
The details:
The lamp stands 29" tall to the top of the lamp harp (the very top where you add a finial to hold on the shade).
It stands 16 1/4" to the edge of the porcelain urn section.
The lamp base is brass and measures 7 1/2" X 7 1/2". We did not polish or overclean the brass. It has a nice patina on it. There is one small spot of oxidation to the base (see photo) which I believe you will be able to polish out if you choose to do so. We love the aged look of the base.
The urn measures about 6 1/4" across it's widest section.
The condition of this vintage Capodimonte lamp is Good++. The porcelain is Very Good++ with no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs. The hand painting is bright and clean. The Gilt trim is bright and clean and we see minimal wear for lamp of this age. The cord needs to be replaced before using. The cord is old and worn. This is an inexpensive fix and you will have piece of mind that the lamp is safe. We left old cord attached as it appears to be the original cord.
