Great looking authentic MCM George Kovacs Stacked Lucite Cubes Table Lamp. This early 1950s vintage lamp is in Very Good original condition. Simply add a shade to match your decor and it will so many styles including Regency, Art Deco, Mid Century Modern, Transitional and Contemporary. It has the original plug - cord and it is in working condition (see photos). We do recommend having vintage lamps and lighting checked by an electrician or lighting professional before using.
The inside bottom of the lamp is mirrored, and the center post is chromed, giving this lamp a superb look when lit. This early 1950s lamp has the Underwriters Laboratories blue Label with Kovacs name and the Issue No. of E-6722.
The lamp stands 25 1/2" tall to the top of the finial and 13 1/2" to the top of the smallest cubes. The largest cube, the base, measures 8" X 8" X5 1/2". The lucite body is in Very Good+ Condition with no breaks or cracks seen. No discoloration seen. The lamp outlet at the top needs to be tightened down a bit. But that can be done by hand. The chrome rod through center and bottom mirror all good as well. Overall this is an exceptional signed MCM designer piece.
