Art Deco Lusterware Creamer Sugar Gold Castle Japan Asian Deco Decor
Authentic Art Deco Lusterware Creamer and Sugar Bowl by Gold Castle, Hand Painted and Made in Japan c1921-1930. These two pieces are vividly hand painted with green, orange, black and white. There is lusterware floral decoration on both sides. Minimal wear for their age (see our photos and read entire description for details.) This will go well with your other bright lusterware pieces and will make a fabulous display with your Art Deco or Asian decor when not in use.
The creamer stands 3 1/4" tall at it's tallest point at the spout. It has a 6" span from handle to spout and a 2" X 4" opening at the top. There is a 2mm flake at the very end of the spout. The colors are bright and fairly clean. The hand painted flower is in luster as well as the inside and bottom base trim. The transfer is 90% good with minimal wear for its age (c1920-30 - 90-100 years old) . The sugar bowl stands 2 1/8" tall at the top of the handles and spans 7 1/4" across the handles. There is luster on flowers, the rim and the bottom trim. No chips cracks or flakes. Some minimal edge wear to the transfer. Colors are vivid. Both pieces have identical floral designs on both sides.
Both pieces have the black Gold Castle Hand Painted China - Made in Japan marks on the back. In the last photo we show what the teapot that goes with this set looks like. It is not included but thought it would be a good reference. We were unable to find any other pieces or info on any other piece.
