Antique Tin Bread Pudding Mold with Steamer Lid, Farmhouse Country Kitchen Decor
This antique German tin baking mold was used for steaming bread pudding. It is not terribly large in size. It shows its age which is well over 100 years old with a nice patina to the tin. There are few small dings but nothing that would prevent this from being used or displayed. It really is a superb piece for farmhouse, primitive or country kitchen decor.
You can see in our last photo for size next to a soda pop can. It stands 6" tall and has a 6 1/2" depth across its widest point at the top. There are remnants from a paper label that you can probably remove with some fine steel wool and warm water. I did try to do this only did a rinse and wipe down as we try to leave as much original as we can.
You will note there is a funnel or cone inside that looks similar to a more modern Bundt tin or Bundt cake mold and that is exactly how this is made but smaller in size and the lid at the top is necessary for the steaming.
Overall, a nice antique kitchen tin mold for use and display.
