Antique Pair Large Cut Crystal Perfume Bottles or Use for Whiskey Decanters
Pair of larger antique cut crystal perfume bottles with ground stoppers and alpaca plate cap tops. This 1900-1910 set is heavy, beautifully made and can also be used as whiskey decanters. Either way, they will make a beautiful display. They will look lovely on a vanity, dresser, server, bar or bar cart.
You will receive the pair as shown. Each decanter has a top that covers the ground stopper. The tops are marked ALP PLATE for alpaca silver plate which is basically nickel silver grade of plating. They are engraved with the name Maria Jesus on both tops. The engraving is done in a delicate script.
The bottles are identical standing 6 1/4" tall capped and 5 1/2" tall to rim of the bottle uncapped. The measure 3 1/4" across the widest point of their body. They will each hold 12 - 14 oz of fluid.
The bottles are in Good+ Condition for their age (110-120yrs). There are no major defects to the crystal. We note few small flakes on a couple of the cut edges too small to photograph of no significance on pieces of this age. The silver plated caps show some oxidation. They fit securely on the bottles. One cap has a line or crease on it. You can see this on the last photo (bottle on right) lip on cap. The cap fits securely.
