An authentic antique farmhouse yellow ware mixing or batter bowl. This antique stoneware bowl has a wonderful shape with inverted vertical ribbing and a top band. The color is a nice sunny yellow. It is the perfect size for mixing, holding some apples or other fruit or serving. It will go well with any of your rustic or country decors.
The bowl measures 9" across the top and stands 5" tall. It shows appropriate age wear as this is over 100 yrs old c1910-15 or so. Outer body bright and clean. Inside of bowl shows heavy crazing with minimal discoloration but some light flaking seen down to the stoneware in a few spots (see close ups). Around rim is the most wear to the bright yellow glaze with one 1/4" rim chip due to the glaze wear around the rim it is difficult to see this chip. The base rim has a few old chips that are hidden when bowl is set upright. They are not noticeable when bowl is displayed. This is exactly how an authentic farmhouse bowl should look.... well loved.
