A handsome antique flame grain mahogany mirror c1850-60. This early wood framed mirror has gorgeous flame grain mahogany and presents like a dream. It will work well with most of your antique decors including Federal, Empire, Victorian and Farmhouse to name a few. It is the perfect "medium" size to use in a hallway, entryway, behind a server or buffet, as a shaving mirror or in a wall grouping.
The mirror has a height of 19" and length of 15". It has a depth from the wall of 1 1/2" although the actual wood frame has a depth of 1". This piece is in its original condition and has stood the test of time, over 150-60 years very well. The glass is free of any chips, cracks or flakes. We see no fogging to the mirror. I note a few very small age spots on the mirror for accuracy, but for a piece of this age the mirror is above average condition.
The wood frame is remarkable, and we note only a minor splinter of wood missing off the top right back corner (see photo). It is not visible from the front and by the looks of this, it is an old and minor "injury".
