I picked up this antique railroad lock by ET Fraim of Lancaster PA because it was crafted of solid brass. It does not have the insides or the ability to lock - it for display only. It would make a great piece for your Industrial or Industrial farmhouse decor. Hang it on a wall with other pieces or set in grouping on a shelf or table. Which ever you decide it will make a super eye catching display.
The lock measures 3 7/8" long (not including the swivel and chain) and measures 2 3/8" wide with a 3/8" depth. The attached chain is not brass and measures 10 1/2".
The brass is fairly clean for over 100 years old. We did not clean, this is how we acquired it. If you want it shinier it will polish up brighter with some "Bar Keeper's Friend" or other copper and brass cleaner. We think it has the perfect amount of patina on it.
