Big beautiful piece of antique stoneware earthenware pottery from Teruel Spain. This large bowl has a magnificent Hispano-Moresque tin glaze done in green and dark brown (almost looks black). It is dated to at least 1860 and could be earlier.
This bowl is large measuring 12" across and standing 4 1/4" in height. Condition is Very Good+ for it's age. We see no chips, cracks , hairlines or flakes to the body of the stoneware. There are two chips on ridge of the or lip of the base. The glaze has a few popped bubbles, normal for age and firing technique. Great looking from top to bottom.
