1940s Simonds Cross-Cut Saw Tool Set No. 342 with Extra Saw Tools
1940s Simonds Cross-Cut Saw Tool Set No. 342 with instructions (no box) and some additional saw tooth setting tools that all came from the same estate. I can't pass up nice old vintage sets. If you are a tool or saw collector this is a nice set to have around. Everything you need to straighten and sharpen saw teeth.
You will receive the saw spike, saw gauge, set ring stake, flat file, tooth setting tool by DSC (Disston Saw Co I'm assuming) EVERYTHING Shown. The instruction booklet is a double-sided foldout. It is tanned from age and has some stains but still easily read.
The Instructions for the use of the SIMONDS Precision Cross-cut Saw Tools includes the following: Advantages of the Simonds Precision Cross-cut Tool -- Quick, accurate, and rigid adjustment of the raker gauge.-- No chance to dislocate slide when once set in position - a featurenot to be found in any other saw tool on the market .
