1940s Art Deco Style Porceliere Vitreous China Flamingo Teapot Great Vintage Coastal Decor
1940s Art Deco Style Porceliere Vitreous China Flamingo Teapot is a beautiful piece for your Coastal or Beach home. It has a distinctive Art Deco form and bright raised pink flamingo wading in tall grass and water. It will also work well with your 1940s, Shabby and Pink decors.
It is in Good+ Condition and displays beautifully. We took photos from every angle, inside and out, for you to see how well this piece stood the test of time.
The teapot stands about 6 1/4" to the top of the lid and 5 1/2" to the top rim of the teapot body. It has a span from handle to spout of 11" with a 3 5/8" opening at the top. The body is a buff or winter white color true in our photos as is the bright pink of the raised flamingo. There are chips, cracks, flakes or repairs. We see no crazing. The only discoloration we see is around the inner unglazed rim which the lid hides and you would expect to see of a piece that is 80 years old. We note a few tiny, popped pottery bubbles here and there - a few near the flamingo, these are from manufacturing. The coppery brown trip around the lid and handle are perfect. We see these here and there but none with the finish in this beautiful condition.
This teapot can be used and will hold 6-7 cups up to 60 oz. We live on the Gulf Coast and have many great coastal items in our shop for sale you can check them out below.
