Our photos were taken in natural light with no flash but the color still looks more gray than the dark indigo blue that it truly is. On the first photo we have matched up the Pantone color that best shows you the color of the transfer (Pantone Vintage Indigo 19-3929 TPX). These pieces of Gainsboro blue are nearly impossible to find, especially the serving pieces and this one is very large. It will make a gorgeous centerpiece on your dinner table and when not in use it make a lovely display. We have it shown on the center of our large display table for size.
As stated above, the tureen is in Very Good++ Condition. We see no chips, cracks, flakes or repairs ANYWHERE on the tureen or lid. We see no crazing. The transfer is also Very Good++ crisp and clean. We give this a 9 out 10 for antique condition.
The tureen stands 8 1/2" to the top of the lid and 5 3/4" to the top edge of the tureen. The tureen measures 13 3/4" from handle to handle. The oval opening measures 9 3/4" X 6 3/4". The tureen measures approximately 11 1/2" across widest point of body. The base color of the tureen is not pure white but more of a winter white - it will work well with your blue and white decor.
