This antique wood flower press comes in two pieces and is held down by tightening two wing nuts on either side of the iron strap. The wood is in beautiful condition. The boards together measure 9 1/2" long by 3 1/2" wide and the piece stands about 2 1/4" tall when sitting on table. There are 3 red hard rubber feet on the base to keep it from sliding. Other than wear to the Art Nouveau style decals there is minimal wear to the press. Very nice condition for a piece that is over 100 years old and it functions perfectly.
This press is a nice smaller size and is made from wood and iron with the remnants of Art Nouveau decals. This mini press is perfect for pressing flowers between wax paper or the pages of books. There is a patent number shown in our photos of 37813-28 but I did not have any luck locating the patent information. Based on the construction and style this dates to right around 1910-20.
