This antique flow blue plate by John Maddocks and Sons in the Virginia pattern has remnants of beautiful metallic gold accents. This plate dates from 1880-1896 with the appropriate markings on the back (see photos). We have a few more pieces of this hard to find pattern in our shop. This plate measures 9" across. It is in Good Condition for over 130 years old with no chips, cracks or flakes seen. We do note crazing with mild discoloration on the front and a bit dark discoloration on the back center of the plate. If you collect antique porcelain and pottery, this is normal age wear. The front displays well and this will be a lovely addition to you Virginia or Flow Blue Collection.
