Here is a beautiful "Gone With the Wind" style Hurricane Lamp by Phoenix Art Glass Co. It has raised roses on top globe and the lower half of the lamp that are absolutely gorgeous. It also has has a summer floral hand painted design in shades of pink and green. This lamp was produced in the 1960s when there was a resurgence of Victorian decor, especially this style lamps being produced by several Art Glass makers such as Fenton, LE Smith and Phoenix just to name a few. These electrified beauties are making a comeback and becoming more collectible.
The style of this lamp is what you would have seen in parlor scenes in movies like "Gone With the Wind" or in Victorian homes. The only difference is those lamps took oil or kerosene. The lamp is working and the cord looks good BUT we say with any vintage or antique lighting - please have it checked before prolonged use by a professional. These are vintage pieces.
