c1930s Art Deco era Industrial Desk Lamp made in France. This stylish, vintage desk lamp is nearly antique and in handsome condition for its age. It has the BEST design with nickel plated accents. A superb piece for your Industrial or Art Deco space.
The lamp is working but we ask with all vintage and antique lighting that you have it checked before use. for safety. It appears the cord was replaced sometime around 1950.
I do not know the designer but the few I have seen did not have the original dark brown or bronze colored coating that this one does, they had been stripped down - most likely due to wear. This one is remarkable for its age and I would give an 8.5-9 out of 10 for overall condition.
The nickel plated accents makes this piece stand out. We also love the fact that it has a pretty nice height adjustment which brings it from 12" to 16". It is easy to adjust with set screws. The lamp shade also tilts up and down. The lamp has a depth of 9 1/2" from the base forward to end of shade. The shade has a length of 15 1/2. This takes fluorescent bulbs which you can still get online or order at Home Depot. I am including the one that is in there now and it is working fine. Overall condition is an 8.5 out of 10. It presents beautifully and with a little more clean-up it will be quite a piece.
