Estate 14k Gold Large Carved Jade Jadeite Necklace. This 1960s necklace is a gem for the fine jewelry collector. The jade is large and has a beautiful smooth waxy feel. The color is true in our first two photos and the rest are a bit darker because we lost our sun for the day. The carved jade pendant is large and has fruit and florals carved on both sides. There is ornate jade bead work about 3/4 of the way down the necklace.
The carved jade pendant measures 2" X 1" or 49mm X 24mm X 4mm. We roughly estimate this be between 40-46 carats total weight. The pendant does not come off of the chain and the bead work is also fixed onto the the chain. You can see it on our model for size.
The condition is Very Good+. We see no chips, cracks or flakes to the carved jade jadeite pendant or the bead work. The gold necklace is buttery bright and clean. The necklace hardware is marked 14k and we have safely tested the necklace it to be so. The mark was too small for me to get a photograph of but you will see it with a loupe. The jade is polished and has gorgeous luster.
