This is the final piece of our MCM Franciscan Starburst Dinnerware. In addition to this 15" oval platter, we have several pieces of this George James designed dinnerware in our shop now. We are happy to combine shipping on multiple purchases if possible. Drop us a line. There is a link to the entire collection at the end of this listing.
This pattern was produced by Franciscan Potter from 1954-1966 and then was discontinued. It was designed by George James famous for designing Franciscan's Eclipse pieces. It's malinite clay composition makes it the perfect stoneware dinnerware.
This atomic pattern has become a decorator and design favorite with it's colorful aquamarine, olive green and yellow atomic starburst pattern outlined in black. The background pottery color is white with a very faint fleck of grey from the clay.
This is single Oval Serving Platter (in a mild freeform shape).
Size - 15"L X 9 3/4"W
Condition - Very Good Condition. No chips, cracks or repairs. The pattern is bright and clean. We see a few faint age spots on back or we would call this Excellent for 60-70 years old.
This Starburst serving platter will look great on your table and can be used a great display piece when not use. Combine with some of the other pieces to make a super cupboard, cabinet, or sideboard display.
