A wonderful vintage Blackamoor Princess Head Vase or Wall Pocket by Royal Copley c1950s. This gorgeous African Queen or Princess can be placed on a shelf, desk or counter AND can be hung as well giving you major decorating flexibility. She has a beautiful high gloss finish and is dressed in grey and yellow costume with jewelry. Note some of the head vases in this line show a similar Blackamoor but without jewelry.
This Blackamoor head vase stands 9 1/2" tall, 5" across her widest section with a 3 3/4" depth. The planter opening measures 2 3/4" X 2". We see crazing with mild to medium discoloration. The discoloration on the crazing is seen mostly on the back of the vase and lighter portions of the pottery. She presents beautifully - see all of our photos from every angle. We note one flake on the inside rim of the vase about 1 mm in size (see photo with arrow).
