Elegant and stylist antique Art Deco Bar Brooch with sterling silver leaves and a beautiful blue glass stone. This brooch is a unisex style that can be enjoyed by the men and ladies in so many different ways - use it across the collar of your blouse, on a jacket lapel or as a tie bar.
It measures 2 1/4" in length with a 1/4" width. The blue glass stone is the color of chalcedony or a cornflower blue color. It has been tested and it is polished glass. The setting is ornate with repousse leaves and a nice patina to the sterling silver giving it depth. We only did a light hand polishing. The brooch is marked sterling on the back and we have safely tested it to be at least 925 sterling silver.
The brooch is in Good estate condition. The pin has a slight bend to it but it still fits in clasp and closes as it should. The glass stone under the naked eye is remarkable with 40X magnification we can see small mold marks. We also love the Cat's Eye effect the glass stone has when you move it. We estimate this brooch to be between 1915-1920 100 years or slightly older.
