1962 Bottoms Up by Ted Saucier, published by Greystone. This is a wonderful vintage Cocktail recipe book complete with outer box that contains 288 pages of delicious cocktail recipes and has the best vintage full page illustrations by well known artist. This is the revised FIRST PRINTING of this book and it is in beautiful vintage condition. The outer book box has kept this book sparkling clean AND the prior owner had the outer book wrapped in removable mylar plastic.
The book has 288 pages which includes an index for easy reference for drinks in alphabetical order by types of alcohol & uses such as: gin, cobblers, coolers, champagne, scotch, Collins Drinks, Southern Comfort, and many, many more. In between the recipes are smaller illustrations Russell Patterson.
The book box measures 10 5/8" H X 7 1/2" W X 1 1/2" D. The book itself is in very fine condition. I give it a 9 out of 10. Minimal use and wear seen. Binding tight, inside clean. No rips, tears, stains or odors. The outer box shows light wear mainly at the edges and has protected the book well for 60 years. The cover panels on the outer box match the cover of the book and they are evenly and lightly tanned from age.
This would make an excellent gift for Father's Day or a Housewarming gift.
