This set of seven North American Aviation Glass Tumblers has the best MCM (Mid Century Modern) graphics of aerospace travel.
I was not aware of the massive impact the NAA had on our country's aerospace history. The company was started in 1928 and built several notable aircraft and spacecraft. Some of their products included the T-6 Texan trainer, the P-51 Mustang fighter, the B-25 Mitchell bomber, the F-86 Sabre jet fighter, the X-15 rocket plane, the XB-70, the B-1 Lancer, the Apollo command and service module, the second stage of the Saturn V rocket, and the Space Shuttle orbiter.
They later went on to have several subsidiaries which also worked specifically in Nuclear Development, Navigation Guidance and Radar Systems.
These tumblers are beautifully made with weighted bottoms and highly polished glass. They will look great on your bar, bar cart, or cupboard when not in use. The condition is Very Good++ with no chips, cracks, flakes or wear to the great transfers.
Each glass tumbler stands 4 3/4" tall by 2 1/2" across the top opening. They will hold 8 oz of your favorite beverage.
The background (unprinted area) of the glasses is CLEAR. We took our picks up against a white wall and used a darker background for you to see the details.
These are a superb find for the Aviation or Aerospace Collector.
