Gorgeous Amilcare Santini (1910-1975) of Florence Italy object d' art sculpture like large figure of nude couple kissing. Beautifully crafted to look like a much more expensive piece. Santini was trained as a sculpture in Italy and found a way to mix resin with alabaster to pour molds of his works and recreate famous works of other well-known artists.
The Condition is Very Good. No chips, cracks, repairs. We note a stain on the base which is pointed out in our photos and cannot be seen when displayed. We did a light cleaning with warm water; it could use just a bit more may be with a soft toothbrush to get more of the crevices I missed but overall, an incredible piece.
Santini was trained as a sculpture but to mass produce pieces he found a way to incorporate Alabaster with Resin, pouring his compound to create his works and replicated works of famous sculptures. This piece is artist signed.
The sculpture stands 15" tall with a 7 1/4" X 4 7/8" base. This piece is well weighted and solid with an unboxed weight of over 5 1/2 pounds. It will not tip over easily if you have small children or animals.
Would be lovely on a pedestal, shelf or entryway table. A romantic gift idea too!
