This vintage torsade has a big, bold beautiful pendant with elaborate rhinestones. It is long measuring 32" around and has a great slinky feel.
Three sections on EACH side of the necklace hold 30 slinky liquid gold tone chains (for a total of 90 chains on the necklace). They are long and brightly capped in gold tone where they lead up to an enormous rhinestone pendant.
The large pendant measures 2 1/4" X 2" and has a depth of 3/4". There are four sapphire blue oval rhinestones measuring 17mm X 13mm surrounded by large half orbs of pave set set rhinestones. At the center is a spectacular green 17mm rivoli stone surrounded by a double halo of rhinestones. Lastly there are smaller emerald green rhinestones around the perimeter of the setting. The back of
the rhinestone pendant is done in ornate stamped gold tone filigree work.
This necklace has a 32" circumference. There is no clasp. It is large enough to slip over the head. The pendant can be worn at the back of neck, at the front or off to the side.
Excellent estate condition. Unsigned. Purchased from Sak's 5th Ave in the 1980s.
