Vintage Howdy Doody Ventriloquist Doll 1972 Great 1950s Decor
A great piece for the vintage toy collector. This 1972 Howdy Doody ventriloquist doll was made by Eegee for the National Broadcasting Co. It is a great tv character piece for those that are decorating in 1950s decor. He shows some signs of wear but is is clean enough to make a very nice display.
He is large measuring approximately 30 1/2" in length. We see wear to his hair (rubbing off of the orange) otherwise he has a few light scuffs but nothing major. No odors. See all of our close up photos. The ventriloquist cord at the back is still attached to the mouth but VERY VERY tight. It moves the mouth but takes a ton of effort and it does not move a lot or go back into position without manually pushing it back into place. I have no idea if this is fixable or not. The only way to explain it is that it feel very taught. So you will not be able to use as a ventriloquist doll unless you figure out how to get it fixed. Body is soft stuffed.
