In our opinion we take quality over quantity and this vintage engagement ring is has superb quality. The diamonds are not enormous but they are of a quality you do not see often anymore. This dazzling Art Deco ring is a size 5 1/4 and can be resized to perfection by your jeweler.
Note our photos have been enlarged to give you a better look at the rings detail. You can see it on our model for a size visual in the last photo. Our model has it on her pinky finger.
The center stone is a brilliant .14 carat diamond with high marks in clarity at a VS2 and color at G-H. It is surrounded on either side by two 2mm stones of S1 clarity and H color. The decorate work on the sides of the ring is gorgeous. We do not remove the diamonds from the ring to calculate the carat weight but our figures are a good close estimate. The total carat weight on this ring is .22.
The band of the ring is done in highly polished yellow gold. The mounting of the center stone is done is 18k white gold. It is an illusion type setting which makes the diamond appear larger. This was a popular vintage style setting. The front of the ring measures 1/4" in height at the center. The band measures 2mm at the sides and graduates down to 1mm at the back of the ring.
The inside of the ring is marked Bluebird for the maker (est. 1924, Chicago) and 14k & 18k for gold purity. This ring is in beautiful estate condition.
