Nearly antique Mortuary and Post Mortuary Real Photos and much more in this 1930s Cincinnati School of Embalming photo album and scrapbook by John P. Henrich. This leather bound album contains 25 filled pages
This leather bound 90 year old album has a Native American Indian on the front and is from Indian Village St. Ignace, Michigan. It shows signs of normal wear but it has protected the contents very well. You will find all kinds of interesting photos including, class photos, professors, classmates, classrooms, post mortem shots, report cards, graduation class lists and post graduation social photos and funeral home business pics.
It is my understanding that the embalming school in some form was active since 1882. Mr. Henrich graduated in the class of 1931 and there are photos of both classes.
Note that some of the contents are gruesome and not easy for those with weak stomachs to view. A really nice collectible for Cincinnati Alums and Mortuary Science collectors.
