Wonderful Mid Century Modern MCM decorative piece of metalware. This vintage ewer measures 8.25" tall and can used as a vase or simply decor. It is crafted of hammered copper, brass and has a teak handle. It is in Excellent estate condition.
This 1960s piece is beautifully made. We note several features such as the teak handle is attached with rivets, and there are two tiny copper between the handle and ewer. The base is crafted in brass. The metal is completely hand hammered. The base measures 2" across and the depth from the outer edge to the end of handle is 3 1/2". It is not a big piece but it sure is a striking piece.
I think there is a signature on this piece at the bottom edge if you follow the handle down. I have tried everything to make out the mark. It is impossible and it driving me crazy because the piece is too darn cool. But it is what is may be someone will have luck figuring it out. The condition is excellent with no dings, dents or oxidation to the outside of the body. The inside has a darkened patina from age but is not dirty.
