We do not come across these large framed Turner prints very often. This one is a real beauty. The frame was repainted white at some point in time and can be repainted if you do not like the color. The print is in beautiful condition. We apologize for the glare on the glass as we did not remove the print from the frame. This will the focal point in any room or office and would be great behind a sofa, server or in your foyer.
The background of the print is a dark burgundy or maroon and depending on what light you are in can look different colors ie; dark brown, dark maroon, almost black. The florals and statue are all true to color as shown and are a mix of creams, beige and neutral tones. This will match just about any basic color scheme.
The original backing on the frame was replaced at some point in time with cardboard. Again, we only did a wipe down and did not remove the print. The print appears bright and clean. We note a bit of white paint on the glass near the frame that a razor will take off easily, otherwise, I see no other flaws to report. Very nice for over 70 years old.
