Three fiery opals set in 18k yellow gold with a gorgeous Victorian style setting. This vintage English estate ring is a size 7.75 and can be resized to the perfect fit by your jeweler. It look great on every finger and can be worn alone as a statement piece or next to your other fine jewelry.
The opals on this ring are fiery and have hues of blues, greens and a touch of pink. The photos show some of the fire but it is even better in person. The center opal measures 6mm X 4mm (.27 carats). Each of the side opals measures 4mm X 2mm (.09 carats each). The total weight of opals is .45 carats. There are 4 bezel set diamonds, 2 on each side of the main opal. The diamonds measure 1.5mm each and have a .08 total carat weight. They are SI1-SI2 in clarity and I-J in color.
The front of the setting measures 1/2" height North to South and stones spread out 5/8" across the setting East to West. The ring has a gorgeous profile with decorative scroll work on the mount. The setting is marked 750 for 18k gold purity and has English hallmarks for Birmingham with a date mark for 1985. It has an S&D maker's mark for Steele & Dolphin (Birmingham, England).
