Art Deco manual wind ladies wrist watch in 14k rose gold crafted by Huguenin. This c1920s watch has a braided cloth band with gold filled accents and safety chain.
The watch face measures 5/8" square and with the 14k attached hardware at the side it measures 1 1/4" across. The back of the case is marked 14k and 585 for gold purity with a Swiss Gold Standard Mark of Squirrel underneath. Also marked with a case number of 64501.
The works are marked 17 jewel and Huguenin Watch Co. The works are fairly clean. The watch works when we wind it. We did not have it professionally tuned up or cleaned. It is up the purchaser to have this watch adjusted as we believe it probably has not been looked it for many years. The watch face under the glass bezel has all of its original numbers and hands. The face has scratches from age. The domed bezel has surface scratches but the watch can still be read and seen. The gold watch case is shiny and bright.
The braided cloth band has gold filled accents on it. The once black braided band is faded but still sturdy. The clasp shows a spot of rubbing to the gold fill. There is a safety chain on the watch band. The band can be removed and replaced.
If you love a good manual watch this one is worth the time and investment. Old gold watches are becoming more difficult to find. A charming time piece!
