Early 1800s colorful tin glaze Faience pottery wine jug. This antique earthenware jug stands 7.75" tall and will hold 32 oz or 4 cups of beverage. The hand painted tin glaze colors and fern design is gorgeous. This piece was part of an estate collection of European earthenware we acquired a few years ago. This a style that will work well with Farmhouse, French Country, Primitive decors just to name a few. There is a neat repair to the handle which we only noticed as we were photographing. The repair looks old and the rest of the piece is remarkable with no chips, cracks or flakes. We see no crazing and minimal discoloration a very very clean piece. Slight loss of glaze on size of handle.
