A gorgeous piece of Mid Century Modern MCM Viking Art Glass. This 1960s orb tilted ashtray has a very distinctive style and will look great in your vintage home or office. It does not have to be used as an ashtray, it looks superb as a piece of decorative glass.
The color of the art glass is spectacular, it blue but has the faintest undertone of turquoise. We are calling it Peacock Blue. For decorators it is close to Pantone 307c if that helps.
The ashtray stands 4 1/2" at it's tallest point at the back and spans 5 3/4" across it's widest point. It has a 4 3/4" opening. The condition is Good. We note a few tiny flea bites too small to measure under 1mm on the very inner edge. Otherwise unremarkable. The glass is highly polished smooth and clean. The pebbling you see in background of photos is our wall and pedestal with a textured background showing through. We have seen quite a few of these in orange and cobalt but hardly any in this spectacular color!
