19th Century Livesley Powell Abbey Ironstone Luncheon Plate, Blue and White Ironstone Transferware c1850
19th Century Livesley Powell Abbey English Ironstones Luncheon Plate (1851-1865). This lovely scenic blue and white transferware plate has stood the test incredibly well. It is amazing that a 155-170 year plate is in this condition with no chips, cracks, flakes or crazing. What you can see is some staining under the glaze from age on the front and a few popped pottery bubbles on the back that have discolored but truly remarkable.
This luncheon size plate measures 8.5". The plate is slightly convex with a little bit a bowl at the center. When setting on table it has a 1" height.
This piece of English ironstone pottery will be a beautiful addition to your Blue and White collection or antique ironstone collection.
